Music feature extraction and its use in Composition

The seminar concerns music feature extraction, a fairly new and quickly growing research field. More specifically, the subject of the meeting will focus on the meaning and on the use of music feature extraction in composition. The theory and practice of the main algorithms of extraction will be analyzed and some examples of the algorithmic application to the composition will be outlined.
